Corrections & appeals

Good research
stays open to correction.

If a finding is inaccurate, incomplete or no longer reflects current conditions, the underlying evidence should be reviewed.

What to include

Give us enough context to identify the finding and understand what needs to change.

  • The report reference, if available, and the domain in defanged form.
  • The specific statement you dispute and why.
  • Relevant dates, technical context and a concise account of any remediation or change in control.
  • Your relationship to the domain and a reply address.

Do not send passwords, identity documents, full payment-card details or unrelated personal information. Supporting files can be requested through an appropriate channel after initial review.

How reassessment works

  1. Identify and review

Locate the relevant finding, review the supplied context and compare it with the original evidence.

  2. Resolve uncertainty

Seek clarification or repeat checks where appropriate. A change in present behavior is distinguished from an error in a historical observation.

  3. Correct the record

If a material error is established, amend or withdraw the affected finding and inform prior recipients where appropriate. Record the reason and scope of the correction.

What an appeal can change

This process concerns Abuse Partners’ research and reports. It cannot reverse actions taken by registrars, hosts, security vendors or authorities. Their own appeal and delisting channels remain applicable.

No fixed review deadline or outcome is promised. Material errors take priority, and the resulting assessment should explain the basis for any change.
